Reaching Out is a non-profit organization that supports programs that reach communities in the Houton Metropolitan Area and the New Orleans Metropolitan Area. The purpose of Reaching Out is to encourage youth to strive to reach an enhanced quality of life in order to be of service to the larger community. Our programs include:

Background



Reaching Out received its non-profit status in 2005. Since then, the organization has endeavored to uplift communities by highlighting the importance of family, education and a strong spiritual foundation.




About the Directors



Amos Neal and Allyson Ward Neal grew up in New Orleans where Reaching Out was formed.


Amos obtained an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Philips Junior College and several certifications in transit maintenance. He is a highly respected transit professional who has worked for the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority(RTA) and currently works for the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO).


Allyson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Southern University and A & M College and a Master of Arts degree in Communication from Washington State University. She is an adjunct professor at University of Houston and Founder of Anoora International, a communications consultancy dedicated to providing pro-bono services to emerging entrepreneurs and professional services to executives, corporations, businesses and non-profit organizations.
